I’m moving abroad and my trusty road bike unfortunately can’t come with. The frame was Trek’s top-of-the-line aluminium offering in 2017 when I bought it and built it up with a full Shimano Ultegra 6800 11-speed groupset. The wheels are aluminium Fulcrum Quattros with 25mm Specialized tyres—reasonably light and 35mm deep, I’ve found them to be a good all-round wheel. The finishing kit is a mix of things that were in my parts bin, but I did specially source the Ritchey carbon seatpost with the Selle Italia “monorail” saddle, which is lightweight and compliant.
It’s not a showroom condition bike—the left-hand shifter is scuffed where the bike fell into a wall, the saddle cover is peeling in places and there are one or two superficial scratches to the frame (see pictures). It’s stiff, lightweight (comes in at 8.1 kg on my bathroom scales) and would make a good upgrade bike for someone who wants to get more serious about their road cycling, or a very competent wet-weather or race bike for someone who doesn’t want to risk their best steed on those less than perfect days.
I can move a little on the price, but I think it’s quite competitive. You can view the bike at my condo near Queenstown MRT.
