Reynolds has included some of the most sought after technology in their most recent Assault SLG Carbon Clincher Wheelset. Made from 100% carbon, the wheelset is not only incredibly light but so stiff that it excels in a wide range of terrain and demands.
Reynolds CTG (Cryogenic Glass Transition) Braking Technology reduces the buildup of heat when intensely braking and has been proven to brake at 39 degrees cooler than other available braking technologies. The enhanced SLG (Swirl Lip Generator) demonstrates a 35% aerodynamic performance improvement over previous Assault models.
BWI (Brake Wear Indicator) technology is included on the Assault SLG’s, which indicates how worn the wheel has become over time, reducing the need for guesswork and substantial bills if you don’t replace parts often enough.
PR3 (Performance Rim 3) Technology rim design has allocated specific carbon fibres and epoxy formulas to the rim hook bead, brake track and rim profile to improve tensile strength. The entire wheelset comes in at 1475g, making it one of the lightest on the market.
