tl;dr: Would not recommend at all. Mechanic broke a part and shop refuses to compensate in full.
Brought my tri bike in for a quick tuning, and despite warning Carlo (the mechanic) to be careful as the stem cover of the bike is quite delicate, he proceeds to pull it out with force, resulting in a plastic tab breaking. This obviously means that the cover has to be replaced.
I then proceeded to ask Wee Kian whether they would pay for the part to be replaced and his response was a flat refusal. It was only after me questioning and arguing that I was offered a "generous" 50% of the replacement cost of the broken part. This is clearly inadequate compensation for their mistake.
No shop should avoid responsibility for their mistake and no shop should do business in such a manner. Would definitely avoid in the future.
What a great and sincere service! Recced to other shops for servicing but none were as attentive as Bike Stop. It has been a pleasant experience on the whole.
