Since my Diamondback Coil X got stolen, followed by a Haro bike being stolen again, I don believe in getting an expensive bike in Pasir Ris. Bought a Hasa Comp 5.0D for it is really cheap and wont feel too painful if stolen again. But started to Zhng the bike.... the original setup is too weak1. Phase 1 : Shimano LX crank BB, LX FDR, XTR RDR, chains and also cassette, shifters2. Phase 2 : Shimano Deore hubs and Alex rims... also slick front PanaRacer tyre 3. Phase 3 : Shimano brakes but reverted back to HASA original disc brake. Basically using only frame, the disc brake from HASA. Sprung seat post. Total spent was $450 for the bike, $390 for LX/XTR parts, $300 for hub rim tyre upgrade. Total is $1140. But now I have two bikes... a Zhng Comp 5.0 and all the basic parts form another cheapo bike aka Comp 1.0 for market or 7/11The HASA frame is very tough and after a few off road abuse it still rides firm and nice. Compared to a 'branded' bike costing twice of this Hasa setup, the 'branded' frame was gone case and warped after a just a Ubin trial. And the other rider dont even weigh as heavy as me. Not to mention the quality of the parts supplied....
