This bike was built initially in Jan 2005, incrementally upgraded. Not intending major changes in the future unless things break or totally BER.
Originally started using SRAM x7 shifters with x9 RD, but bought a 2nd hand x9 trigger shifter set, the difference it makes to the shifting feel is nothing short of "excellent". The Avid Juicy 7's were decent brakes, until I changed out to Goodridge hoses. Then braking became a lot more modulable, believe it or not.
Late 2009:
Became open to the idea of converting this bike to a tourer - it's much more comfortable than my road bike. Added the Tubus LOCC 700c rack along with a 1.6kg ABUS Granit X-Plus 54 300mm U Lock, carried by the integrated lock holder. Added a lot more reflective tape (misnomer, since it's actually hard plastic!) to the rims, frame and fork.
